Hi Guys,

I reinstalled Tiger a few days ago, im running the latest version 10.4.11.

Since the reinstall when I try to click the 'send file' option in the bluetooth menu, it just doesn't do anything.

My bluetooth is working fine with my mouse, but doesn't even recognise that Ive clicked the option when I try to send file.

Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Much appreciate any help.

Thanks

I get this gitch too... maybe once in ten 'sends'. I don't have a solution, but if the file doesn't go, I just 'send' the file again... and it always works the second time I try...

What computer are you using? Have you tried turning off the Bluetooth mouse? I seem to remember having a problem like that when I had 10.3.

Its an ibook 1.3ghz, with 1.5gb ram.

Yes Ive tried it without the mouse, seemingly has nothing to do with it.

Its not that the file won't send, its that my computer won't even recognise that ive clicked 'send file'

So it doesnt even open up the box to choose a file. When I click the bluetooth icon in my toolbar and then click send file > absolutely nothing happens.

Thanks for the replies, anyone else have a solution?

Cheers

Ok, here's my last idea!

Go to Applications > Utilities and drag the Bluetooth File Exchange icon down and add it to your dock.

Open Finder and find the file you want to send, drag it over the Bluetooth icon in the dock and see what happens (that's how I always send files via BT).

What if the Bluetooth File Exchange icon is not in my utilities? I cannot seem to find it anywhere, but I am having the exact problem. Thanks for any help, I appreciate it.

yeah i tried everything you guys said to do and all that happens is that the program opens for a fraction of a second then quits. WTF?
