This is my friend's iPhone which she broke the other day...:(
... do you know what Apple's policy is on this?

Would it be better off to replace the screen myself?:(

ouch...looking at that hurts my soul :(

how did it happen?

All she said was "I dropped it"

Now, I'm trying to help her out since she's really cool.
To clarify things, I didn't break it =P

I've just done some searches on google and it looks like it'll cost $250 from Apple to replace. =(

Oh boy

Plus you are not guaranteed a brand new iPhone for that $250, it can be a refurb. I would just buy a new one but it's up to you of course.

I would get a new one. It would put me at more ease personally. If you used AMEX to buy your phone you might have a protection plan to work from as well. I bought mine that was and got an additional $200 back when the price dropped. Just a thought.
