help with ccc

hello,
I cloned my HD with ccc and want to know how to move all my files to my new macbook pro.

I erased the HD on the new one and went to install SL that worked fine, but when it said back up from time machine it wouldnt show up under disc utility screen.

So how can I copy my old files to my mac?

also will my software be transferable as well
such as
cs5
final cuts
word
ect.. thanks

boot from the clone and use CCC to clone your system back to the MBP.
