I want to connect 2 Macs Remotely (not on local network) using VNC.
Can anyone help please.....

Both Mac's are running OSX 10.6.
Home iMac is gunna be the one i want to control, so i have port forwarded my router to the ip of the Mac on the local network port 5900 to 5901.

I use Chicken VNC on my MacBook at work and try to connect to the External IP of my home but nothing works....

Any ideas? am i missing something simple?

THANKS......

Do you mean OPEN 5900 on my Router at work and point to my HOME External IP?
or my MAC internal IP at work?

VNC might not be a standard port that is open at companies. Have you checked with your IT folks to see if your proxy/firewall allows that connection?
