Help with cleaning os

Hi, I have bought a imac, but there is a problem:
There was user allready, I mean someone was using imac, so there is a lotoff apps, what I wanth, is there a way to delete all apps, pictures, music and other stuff withoust clean install?

If this was a new Mac from the Apple Store or an authorized retailer, I would just go back to the store and ask for a replacement.

The easiest thing to do is to clean install. If you don't want to do that, create a new user and then delete all the files from the other account in the new account.
