macOS Help with Cocoa Application

I am working on a simple OpenSource web browser and I need some help. In Google Chrome I can search and enter URLs into the address bar, how can I achieve this in Objective-C/Cocoa. It would help if you could make a sample Xcode project with this address bar. Thanks!:)
 
My Experience

My Programming experience is basically creating a simple calculator so far and a very basic web browser.
 
The language would be Objective-C. The IDE would be Xcode. I am using the Cocoa Templet for this project
