help with custom icons

hey guys

I see that many users here have customized there own icons and the lock screen as well as sliders. I am still trying to learn how to do this...many of the themes i downloaded from cydia doesnt change the slider or the lock screen even tho its suppose to. i did download few icons from the links people posted here although i was hoping if someone can guide me on how i can put those in my phone and also how i can create my own icons.

Are you on 4.3.1? AFAIK lockscreen sliders have had name changes. If you've got lockinfo installed you can disable it via that.

Have you also taken a look at MRoogle, since that question may have been asked several times?

EDIT: have a browse on macthemes and also this thread on macrumors, where users have posted custom icons (and some instructions along the way)
