My work MBP died today and I was wondering if anyone here had any advice. I've been periodically having issues where one of the two USB ports stops working, which means I have to decide if I want to use my external display or charge the MBP. A reset normally fixes the issue, so when I powered on today to find one of the USB ports wasn't working I did a reset. However, the MBP didn't power on and is now unresponsive. The only sign of life I can get out of it is the chime when plugging the charger in. I've tried the various different key combinations such as CTRL + OPT + SHIFT + POWER to reset the different systems but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any other ideas?

I've started looking in to a repair as it's in warranty, but it looks like it could be weeks as there's a backlog of repairs as the stores start to re-open. I was hoping at a minimum I could grab some files of it before I send it anywhere, but it appears this might also be impossible?

I own a 2015 MBP that has been solid, but this newer model that I got through my job has been nothing but trouble, with the prices ever climbing, it's massively disappointing to see the quality drop.

What model is it? Both the external and MBP displays are both dead? If so I would take it to Apple.
