My iPhone 4 is not working , the caller can't hear my voice

I dropped the phone last week, perhaps that did it, but it was workin fine yesterday & all this time

I did a full restore as new from 5.0.1 to 5.1

I even tried the paper inside the phone trick , and nothing


Voice memo apps work fine talking into the speaker , it's just phone calls that don't work,there's a 30 page thread on the apple forum with no solution

My contract ends in August , i really don't want to pay $150 for a refurbished iPhone 4

I could upgrade to the 4s for $200 now, but I'm saving that for the iPhone 5


So Is it possible to use a cheap phone now until the iPhone 5 comes out?, now that I have the iPad I don't use the iPhone that much , so I'm willing to wait a few months

What's the cheapest AT&t phone I can get and just swap sim cards with my iPhone 4

because he'd have to trade in his damaged phone + $150 for a refurbished one which is not worth it. or he could also be tied into a new contract and waste an upgrade
 
So since this tmobile razr is a prepaid phone , does that mean is already unlocked?

If he's gonna pay $150 for a 3GS for CL, he might as well get the refurbed 4 from apple. Why would he go through the hassle and expense of buying a 3GS for the same price?? You do not waste an upgrade when u buy a refurb 4 from apple. Nor do u sign a contract.

you do lose your old phone. if you go through that deal, you're valuing the iphone 4 you trade in at $100 lol (assuming the selling price is $250 on CL). that's a total ripoff
 
you know that if they swap it for 150 and time comes for the new phone your phone that you get from apple you can sell for over that amount probably closer to 300 since its newer. So why don't you just get it swapped you won't lose any money in the outcome...

also from what I've heard they are not refurbs from apple they are brand new phones...
 
Everyone's guess on when the iphone 5 will come out is just as good as yours. Ie. we are all jsut speculating.

So u pay $150 for a Refurbed iP4 and you give them the broken one. But now u have basically a brand new 4 that you will get full makert value for when the 5 comes out.
And remember...the iP4 he has now is broken. It's not worth the same as a fully functional, near mint device.
 
Yeah, my advice is to get the refurbished 4 and then sell it in the fall and use your upgrade for the new phone. The difference between "money got for selling a 4" and "subsidized new phone price" won't be super-large.

Will you lose a little money? Yeah, but you broke your phone, I consider any plan that only loses "a little money" to be a victory.
 
If I do get the refurb iPhone 4 for $150.will I lose my upgrade for the iPhone 5?

My point was it's worth much more than $100 even if it's broken in some way. For example, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-iPhon...Cell_Phones&hash=item3a73c38b15#ht_1104wt_952

Screen messed up, still bidding for $213. If this ebay guy traded his phone into apple, he would've gotten ripped by $100+
