I just got an ipad mini-r and also have an iphone 5s. I have a verizon dsl email address. I want to be able to send emails from my ipad when I am on wireless, but do not want the ipad automatically down loading them.

Is there any setting to accomplish that?

Maybe a way to limit how many email IOS7 downloads?

Any reliable way in IOS7 to delete all the email on my phone in one shot?

I found a few things on the internet, but they don't seem to work for me with IOS7.

Are there different servers for inbound and outbound? If so can you not enter the inbound server (or not enter your credentials)? You can set Fetch to Manually but I don't know what triggers that manual check for e-mail (opening the app, pulling down to refresh, sending a message, etc.).

You can limit the number of days of email that the Mail app will sync but you can't set it to not download mail.

To keep the mail from coming into your phone, delete the account from the Mail app and use the webmail interface for Verizon email, or, use a dedicated Verizon app for sending email (My Fios).
