I'm trying to logon to this site http://blackboard.cem.ac.uk/webapps/login but Firefox can't do it (neither can safari).

I've played about with the java and scripting settings but to no avail!

Can anybody else log on to this?

What a nightmare  - just started a course and can't log on to the website!

Are you sure it's not an error on their end?

I'm also getting an error, but I know that Macs are supported for Blackboard.

If you can access the debug menu in Safari, trying fooling the site into thinking you're using IE7.

That works sometimes for sites that won't normally load on a Mac.

(If you don't have the debug menu, check out Version Tracker. There's plenty of freeware utilities that will allow you to access it...)

AHHH!!! It was their end! Just fired up my old XP PC and I get the same result!

Just spent nearly two hours messing about!

It's reassuring to know that Macs (Firefox?) are supported by Blackboard- thanks for that.

Thought it might be...I don't use Blackboard stuff myself, but I think Safari is their preferred browser for the Mac platform. Firefox probably works just fine as well.

Just a little update to this; it's working fine today!

And the moral of the story is.... don't always think it's your fault, when something doesn't work!

Oh and BlackBoard doesn't have a patch on vBulletin!
