After syncing my iPhone 4 with iTunes, I have only .61 GB of "Free" space available. I currently have it set to "Automatically fill free space" in the Music tab - is there a way to increase the allocated "Free" space?

Here is the breakdown:

Thank you very much for any help.

First, un-check that feature. Then make a smart-playlist that looks something like this:

Set the GB size to whatever you want. Then sync that to your iPhone.

That's the basic idea, customize it however you want.

Didn't notice this. I normally just pick playlists, which I have separated by artist.
Thanks!

Thank you so much for the fast (and perfect) response.

I really appreciate it.

I also just have a manual playlist that I've hand-picked music for. It's what I've always done and I've never changed.

But this kind of thing is a great use of smart-folders. I've told other people to check it out...maybe I should too!

Yindao, you can play with that 'selected by' menu to pick what kind of music to look for. I think "Least Recently Played" is a good one, but you may like something else better.

I've already created a 15 GB "Random" list and a 2 GB "Recently Added" list.

Also, i've already told a friend who found your solution very helpful.
