Hi Everyone,

I have two monitors and I'm trying to find the best setup to get the best quality and a dual setup to run with my Macbook Pro 2020.

Right now I have the Elgato Thunderbolt dock. Adding more details around the monitors I have.

#1 Monitor that has an HDMI and Display port option.

#2 Monitor has Display Port and Thunderbolt USB C option. In order to get this monitor to run I’m running the Thunderbolt cable from the monitor directly to the laptop.

The Elgato dock I have has only one Thunderbolt USB (pic of a monitor next to it) so I’m trying to figure out if I can run both monitors through the dock or I need to look at another setup.

The goal is to maximize the quality and ease of using two monitors when docking/connecting to them.

Thanks and let me know if you need any other information.

I'm sort of researching the same thing. From what I"ve read, I would try running the non-TB monitor into display port and the TB monitor into the TB port on the dock. If that works, you could compare the results (snappiness, display quality) against using just the dock with the non-TB monitor and plugging the TB monitor directly into the laptop.
