Using Handbrake, for certain dvds i get this message in the Handbrake activity monitor: dvd: vobu read error blk 2257658 - skipping to next blk incr 10, but other dvds work just fine in Handbrake. Any suggestions on what is going on??
System stats:
VLC is updated 1.1.12 32 bit
handbrake is updated 0.9.5 i386 32 bit.
Late 08 Black Mac Book 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
6Gb RAM
OS X Lion v10.7.2

also, cant get the 64 bit versions of Handbrake or VLC to run.

so i use handbrake to rip the dvds to ipad format, i had 64 bit handbrake, but when i opened handbrake, it would tell me that i need a 64 bit VLC, so i downloaded the 64 bit VLC .dmg and i couldnt open it: "cannot read this image file" was the system message i received. so i reinstalled both VLC and handbrake to 32 bit. cool thanks for the links, i will not have a chance to work things out, cause i am at work, but when i get home, i am going to reset my workflow like the one in the link. Also, Mac The Ripper is still PowerPC!! when is there going to be an intel version?? cause MTR seems like the way to go.
