I have been encoding a bunch of my dvds with the intention of buying a MacMini for my tv as a movie server.
However... drawn by the possibility of a PS3 with soccer games, and the forthcoming Gran Turismo, I wondered if I could kill two birds with one stone.
- Since I don't have a PS3 to try, does anyone know if the PS3 preset in Handbrake creates files also playable in Front Row? And whether this preset retains 5.1 sound compatible with the new PS3 2.0 firmware?
- Also, can all these files be stored on an external USB 2.0 drive and still played on the PS3 through the browser, or do they expressly need to be on it's internal drive?
