Help with hardrive upgrade

I am planning to buy Seagate Momentus XT 750GB. Is this compatible with MacBook white early 2009? I need an increase in speed.

If you can stand to not have as much free space, you should really consider an SSD. Your computer will feel brand new.

It'll work, programs will load faster but it wont increase how fast things run.

I thought the momentus was ssd? Or is it a hybrid?
