Well, I'm trying this app out and having the contents of a cell hyperlink to a stored pdf (on the same drive) is a requirement. And I just cannot get it to work. I type in the cell contents, do Insert>Hyperlink, then in the Hyperlink dialog window select document, navigate to the document, click apply, then close.
At that point, it simply appends the file path to the text I have already typed into the cell (rather than just displaying the contents I typed in and it displaying it in a gray box. I get no hyperlink symbol or anything. Click on it and nothing happens.
I just can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong!
An while I'm at it, is there a way to put in a path to the folder that contains my pdfs, then just type in the pdf name to create the link?
Thanks for your help.
Update: Got a link to work, but I had to insert the hyperlink in a cell next to the cell that contains the data. Is this the only way to do it? Excel let's me use the data cell as the link, no need to use a separate cell.
