Hello..

I downloaded a set of icons from the following site: http://appleswitcher.com/mac/mac-icons/

The one with the iCal, iPhoto etc in it. All of them work except the iCal one. I cannot get it to change on the dock. It is changed under the application folder but when I drag it down to the dock it defaults back to the original one.

Also when I go to remove the iCal icon from my dock it won't do trash thing of going "poof". It just disappears which leads me to believe it is not really gone. I have also tried the "Remove from Dock" function. Same results.

Is there something else I need to do?

Thanks

When you change the icon in the get info window, close it, just remove from dock, dont drag ical anywhere, once it's quit and removed, restart, go to apps and open ical again, see if it appears in the dock now with your new icon. ;) should work, did for me.

Neg.... Didn't work. What do you mean by quit iCal? If I don't open it and it isn't open and I drag it off the doc. It shouldn't be running correct? Or am I missing something?

the icons don't change until the program is restarted. thus if it is running quit and restart, if it isn't running, you have to launch it to see the icon change.

you have to replace the files within the app package, not just copy/paste in the Finder Info window.

App-empty.icns goes in:

HD > Applications > iCal > Contents > Resources > iCalDockExtra.bundle > Contents > Resources

AND

HD > Applications > iCal > Contents > Resources

---

App.icns goes in:

HD > Applications > iCal > Contents > Resources

Once you replace those files, you might have to restart iCal or remove it and then add it back to the Dock.
