Hi there,

I have a problem. I have an iMac 1.25ghz, the half dome base one. I erased everything using Disk Utility, then put in the installation cd the computer came with and it won't recognize it.
It will recognize the Panther Upgrade CD which I have and used for Disk Utility.

What are my options? Those are the only disks I have.

I called Apple, they said they don't have any info on this computer anymore because it is too old.

Any advice will be grateful.
Thank you.

Try piratebay.se for a torrent, I see lots of old osx versions that you can download....
I don't see anything unethical about downloading a version that your original comp came with.
I had that same model of imac, my first introduction to a mac. Bought it used and eventually gave it away... Great machine! Good luck with getting it working again.
