HELP!

I am trying to make a compilation video in iMovie 9 of people miming to different parts of a song and then editing all the videos together with the original song in the background.
My problem is this I do not have all of the video clips of the song yet, so I am not able to construct the movie in order! I have added the song to the Project and the first clip but the next video clip I have is for 15 seconfs further on in the song. Is there anyway of inserting blank parts into the movie that I can replace at a later date, so that I am able to carry on creating the movie with the clips that I have available to me.
