Trying to install Windows XP Pro SP3 on a MBP 2,2 running SL 10.6.8. This computer has a bum optical drive that wont read burnt discs, but I am unable to burn ISO onto USB (many hours spent trying, no avail...). This computer won't recognize my external Apple SuperDrive either. My copy of WinXP Pro SP3 is an enterprise edition with valid keys, and I know it works as I was recently able to successfully boot up a MB 1,1 using same disc.

Any way to create a bootable USB from Windows ISO that I can add to a partition that is already setup? Or does it have to go thru Bootcamp with a CD? Any help would be appreciated as I have my boss expecting this tomorrow morning!

Thanks...

This machine won't boot Windows installers from USB. You'll need to replace the optical drive or use VMWare/Parallels to use Windows that way.
