Hello, I'm from Poland (You know, xerobrothers :D) at first I'm sorry for my english.

I have a huge problem with my i phone (3g) I have updated my iphone to 2.2 any by universal-sim on my sim card doesnt work. I now that 2.2 firmware puts sim lock to universal sims, and now can i downgrade my baseband firmware?

Cheers from snowy and cold Poland.

The 2.2 firmware updates the baseband and patches the hole that allows the 3rd party sims to work. Currently there is no way to downgrade the baseband, but that doesn't mean that someone won't find an exploit and enable this in the future. So if you updated to the official 2.2 firmware through apple you are stuck and won't be able to use your 3G outside the official carriers.
