Currently I do not sync my iPad apps with iTunes. I would like to change that and automatically sync when I plug my iPad into my computer. When I connect the iPad and select the Sync Apps box, I get a message that "all existing apps and their data on the iPad will be replaced with apps from the iTunes library."

If I have the same app in my iTunes library as on the iPad will I still lose the data from that app? What I'm concerned about is a game my wife has on the iPad (Pocket Frogs) where's she spent a considerable amount of time getting to where she is now (bought frogs, developed habitats, etc). I can't lose all the time and work she's put into the game.

If I sync now will I lose all that data?

Thanks for your help.
