Help with iPhone 3g

My iPhone 3G charges in the wall and you can see the lightning bolt. However when using the same cable plugged into iTunes the computer and iTunes doesn't see anything and it doesn't charge. Tried every USB port. Im using windows 7 iTunes 10.2.2. Help is greatly appreciated! :/

P.S. trying to restore to factory settings! external speaker isn't working so trying to fix..

It sounds like something is wrong with your USB ports in your computer. You should try to contact manufacturer and get them fixed. However the restore will not fix your speaker because it is a hardware problem not a Firmware or software problem. I think you should take you phone to Apple and see what they can do for you.
