Help with Iphone 4 jailbreak not working

Tried to JB my friends IPhone 4 and couldnt get it to work. NOthing came up after jailbreak like Cydia so turned phone off. When turning back on only got apple sym and never came back on. Now doing a reset

It worked for me the first time, but then I noticed that I could not access the App Store.

I then upgraded from 4.0 to 4.0.1, and tried to jailbreak again, but I have been unable to.

I have tried MANY times, unsuccessfully.
