Help with iphone contacts!

In my settings, I have my gmail account (set up through an exchange server) to get my contacts. So in my "groups" it says:

eric.(lastname)@gmail.com and then a subheading of Contacts, which is great.

But then it shows eric.(lastname)@gmail.com Global (and then I can't read the rest) and when I expand it, it shows just a search bar .... Any ideas what this is and how I can get rid of it????
