Ok, my friend has an iBook, and uses iPhoto for a limited number of digital photos (probably less than 1,000). Just recently, iPhoto stopped working. It loads, and pauses for a sec (as it does on my machine) while it loads up the photo library, but it never gets past this. Just sits there for minutes, thinking, and no photos ever actually appear. Any thoughts?

This happened before the 4.0.2 update and still happens in 4.0.3

Is there anything I can delete, like a preference file, that will cause it to reset? (like with iTunes)??

Any thoughts?
Cheers guys

ALL programs have a preference file and when you get misbehavior like this deleting it is the first thing to do.

Sometimes the database gets corrupt too, so wiping it out and reimporting your pictures might work (this can happen in iTunes too) but it's uncommon so try trashing the preferences--90% chance that'll fix it.
