iPod Help with Ipod and disconnect screen!!

Argh!

As if I needed this right now...

I plugged in my 30gb Ipod to upload some videos I just purchased off of iTunes, before I got a chance to make sure the Ipod was "updating" my boyfriend unplugged the Ipod without ejecting it first.

Now I'm stuck with a Do Not Disconnect screen. And there isn't even an option to eject the Ipod. Nor does the Ipod seem to even have been connected to the computer [Mac]

I've tried holding down the center button as well as the play button, to NO AVAIL!

Besides killing my boyfriend, and help anyone can provide?

Have you tried center and menu. That's the combo that works for most recent iPods.

If you plug it back in, can Disk Utility (in the Utilities folder) see it?
