help with ipsw 4.3.1

I am a first time jailbreaker. i am trying to use Redsn0w. i currently have the iOS 4.3.2. it says you can jailbreak using ipsw 4.3.1. so i downloaded that ipsw on my windows 7 pc. it is a zip file. i extracted thefiles. but the jail break doesnt see the ipsw. please help.

You are not suppose to extract the file. Change the file from example.zip to example.ipsw.

I just jb'd my iPhone 4 and I can't get cydia to open. Also safari won't run either. If the answer is a hard reset, how is that done? Please remember that I'm a complete newbie at this.
