Hi. I have a lot of video podcasts and iTunes U lectures which take up a lot of room on my harddrive. I was wondering if anyone knew how to put my videos on an external while keeping my music on my own harddrive.

im pretty sure you cant move podcasts to another disk without moving the whole itunes library. you can however move them after theyve downloaded. podcasts are kept in ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes music/Podcasts. but then you wont be able to access them from the iTunes interface only using Quicktime Player

take your itunes music folder in music in user account, drag it to external, then hold cmd and alt (option) and drag it back (to create an alias so itunes knows where to look, you can also set where they are in itunes system prefs but the 1st way is how i did it.

no need to create an alias. just move it to the external and then open itunes while holding option and select the library.
