iPod touch help with itunes

Hi,

Hope someone can answer my question.

I had all my music etc held on an external hard drive.

Unfortunatley this has failed and I know i'll have to download all my tunes again, but to the main c harddrive this time on my desktop.

My question is if I download i tunes onto my laptop instead of my desktop and enter all my account info, will the software updates ive purchased for my machine be safe and stay on my ipod touch when i hook it up ?

Yes, Authorize the computer and you are all set.
You should have posted this in the iTunes Forum; however, I'm sure it's no problem.
