help with jailbreak iP4 v5.1 BB04.12.01

so my mother, who lives in brasil, against my advice upgraded her phone software and is now on an USA sold AT&T iPhone4 on software 5.1 with baseband 04.12.01.

she can't use any brazilian phone service sim cards because of this and needs to.

i've looked and havn't found anything but maybe I'm missing something. I've looked at software hacks and sim card hacks but none seem to work

is her phone in its current state able to be jailbroken and/ or unlocked(more important)

Jailbroken yes, although it will be a tethered Jailbreak. Unlocked, nope. She screwed herself when she upgraded the software.

You can tether jailbreak but I don't believe you can unlock.

Look at gevey sims.

i checked out grevey sims and they don't support her baseband, and the jailbreak is really unimportant, its the unlock that she needs.
