help with Jailbreak/unlock on version 4.1 installed on iphone.

Hello,
I have an iphone 3g with firmware 05.14.02 and version 4.1. I used to be able to jailbreak and unlock my phone for free by myself, but I updated it and now the jailreakme website I went through won't let me jailbreak it because my version is "too new." Are there any easy methods where I can downgrade or jailbreak my phone for free? I don't want to go through someone that charges $20+ to unlock my phone.

BTW: currently, there is no unlock release for the baseband that you have on your iphone. However, there is way to get around it which is upgrading your iphone baseband to Ipad baseband 06.15 and then unlock it with ultrasn0w 1.2. (You should read more about the pros & cons of installing ipad baseband on your iphone before proceeding).

Here is simple instruction how to do it.

1. download Ipad fw 3.2.2 to your PC
2. download 3g fw 4.1 to your PC
3. download redsn0w 0.9.6b6 to your PC

Run Redsn0w, click on "install ipad baseband" if you want to unlock, and just follow instruction from redsn0w.
