I have a standard user account on my girlfriends iMac, and I have a standard user account on her mac because she is really paranoid. Anyway, she has gone on a 6 month trip (Sorta a family thing they do, not invited.). And I want to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS running iOS 5.1.1 using Absinthe. Anyway, I am blocked to go to secure websites so I can't go on google sites where Absinthe download files are located. Can someone publish as a mirror of absinthe v2.0.4 to MediaFire or something?

Edit: I have rung her and she said it was OK but she will not tell me an administrator account's password to access the secure sites.

For simplicities sake, I would recommend using a buddy's computer, setting up as a new iPhone, then sync w/ your iTunes when you get back to your GF's computer.

Bump? C'mon

Bumping is against this forums rules, specially after just a few minutes.

there is not point to get those files from a mirror site, you are going to need to admin password to run it and jailbreak anyway. So you need to get your hands on your own computer (or borrow another one), or just get your GF to give you the password. you don't really have many options.

That would just reset to a default OS?

Nevermind - I misread. I thought you needed to update to 5.1.1 at the same time.

In that case, just find a friends computer, download a JB tool and run it. I don't think there's a way to get around your girlfriend's wishes and use her computer in a way she's not willing to give you the passwords for.

PS - learn to wear the pants in your relationship.

thanks for the fix could be the girlfriend doesn't want him surfing porn on her computer. Some women can be so insensitive to us guys.

Truth... On an unrelated note, I love Labs! Always mean to bring this up when I see you post, but always forget.

Had a yellow lab for 16 years (had to put him down in November - bad day). Wife and I are looking to get two in the relatively near future. Yours is/are chocolate?
