Hey everyone,

I'm new here. I hope you guys can help with my problem.

So here's the problem. Today I purchased an Akai XR 20 drum machine. I wanted to use it with Reason, so I purchased the M-Audio Midisports Uno to use as a MIDI input. I installed the proper drivers and everything, but the only light active on the MIDI interface is the USB light. I can't get any sound into my computer. If anyone has had this problem or knows a solution I'd love to hear it!

MacBook Pro 17"
Leopard 10.5.2
Akai XR20
M-Audio Midisports Uno

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

The light on the uno is a good diagnostic. If you don't see activity it means MIDI data is not getting from the instrument to the Uno. Bad cable, bad MIDI out port. You have the cables crossed or you need to get into the menus and tell your drum machine to send midi data out the midi-out port.
