Help with macbook osx

I have a 2.0 ghz macbook in black. I have had some trouble with the os. Every time I unplug in from a power source (battery is junk) it doesn't want to boot up. It's like it loses the os. Any ideas how to fix this?

Replace the battery.

Ensure you use a proper wattage power adapter and get a new battery.
