Good Morning all! I am selling my 2011 MacBook Pro. I have wiped it and am attempting to install a fresh version of Mac OS. It wants to install Lion. When I get to the point where I need to select the disk to install it on there’s nothing there. What have I done wrong?

Did you boot to the recovery partition (Command-R)
or
Did you boot to INTERNET recovery (Command-OPTION-R)
???

They are NOT the same.
Internet recovery is what you want.

What version of the OS do you want to install?

I rebooted into internet recovery. Actually I think I figured it out. It’s offering a disk now. I don’t even know how I got to this point. Like most Apple products it practically fixed itself. Got MacOS Lion ready to go. Thank you so much
