I have an old mac lc 580 that I have connected to an apple laserwriter 4/600 ps. I had to replace the serial cable between the two, and now the computer will no longer recognize the printer. it doesn't show up in the chooser and won't print anything. the cable is in correctly, everything is plugged in, I have reinstalled the printer software. I don't know what else to do. any help?
