I apologize in advance for not being apply savy but I know PCs.
I was just using my wife's MacBook air a minute ago....it ran
low on battery as I was using it and it shut off. It has been working fine.
I plugged it in and the apple logo came on with a status bar. Then it brings me to a screen that asks me to select a language as I had just bought the computer....odd. I select English . I go to a reset password screen but I know my password. I click on forgot my password, I can't sign on because it says I have no wifi, and asks me to enable wifi in the status bar but I have no status bar. I try to click on forget apple ID...It doesn't work. I'm on a spinning hamster wheel.
Can anyone help me? The closest Apple store is 40 minutes away and it's hard for us to go during the week.

I'm sorry....please delete this thread...I moved my cursor up and I got.the status bar...I clicked restart and it worked!!
