I really need help!!
Here is the setup. I have my iMac and Macbook Pro in my flat. I have just got Virgin broadband with a Netgear WGR614v9 router.
For the past week the setup has worked on and off, if the connection dropped I just restarted the computer or the router.
Now my iMac won't connect at all! My Macbook Pro is fine and connects ok. I have reserved IP addresses for both computers. Laptop is 192.168.1.2, iMac 192.168.1.3. If I leave the iMac on "automatic" DHCP, it gets a self assigned IP, not the one I have reserved and doesn't connect to web. If I manually put in the IP address and router etc. it says its connected to the wifi, but I can't connect to the web, or the router, or laptop.
I've tried turning everything off and on loads of times. Yesterday it started to work fine then dropped the connection after 30 mins.
Please someone help! Is there a way I can reset the firmware or something?
Thanks in advance
