Just picked up my first iPad yesterday and downloaded Numbers last night.

From my desk top I emailed [using Mail] myself 4 files so I could get them onto the iPad. I opened the email and clicked on the file. I can see it, but can't do anything with it. It doesn't appear to have opened in Numbers.

Any suggestions appreciated as to how I get it to open in Numbers?

Thanks

What are the file types fo these files?

If they are the right extension for Numbers, you should be able to just Tap on it, or hold your finger on the file and a window will pop up asking you what you want to open it in.

That's great, thank you. What I missed was holding my finger on it.

I had tried sending them to iDisk, but your method is a lot easier. Would be nice if I could sync them between machines though. :)
