Help With Old 3g

I have a old 3g that i wanted to unlock and jailbreak to sell since i got a iphone 4.
Since then, The 3g hasnt been able to connect to wifi or anything so i cannot download ultrasnow from cydia...I want to know do i have to use a different program to jailbreak.(Used a pwnage custom firmiwire 3.1.2).IS there a way to unlock through a MAc program?

Update to 4.0.1 and go to jailbreakme.com.

If your in the UK u'll get a better price for it by selling it to mazoma mobile they gave the missis got £150 for it (8GB) and i got £190 for my 16GB

I just updated to 4.0.1 and ITs not connecting to wifi or anything?
