help with OS9 to Panther on iBook

Hi, Really could use some help. I'm trying to copy (or clone) Panther and OS 9 that I have running on one iBook and want to transfer everything to anohter. I have created a disk image and also copied the whole drive using retore to a an external USB hard drive. I can't for the life of me get this to install on the other iBook. Can someone tell me how to do this. I've tried restoring from the external drive via the other iBook and even a mini using the clone from the external hard drive, also tried to transfer the disk image and no luck. Any help appreciated..it's my daughter's iBook

1. Transferring software from one Mac to another is generally illegal.

2. Transferring an OS from one Mac to another is generally impossible, unless they are the exact same type of Mac. That means the same model number, with the same CPU speed, graphics card, motherboard revision....

Google "carbon copy cloner" to back up your system. OS9 should actually be fine without CCC, you just need to migrate all the folders together.
