Hello,
On my iPhone 8+, I only used 107.7gb of my 256gb used.
I received my 12 pro Max, and I did the direct transfer.
Well, it used up all of my 256gb used. I'm guessing it directly transferred all my old photos to the phone because it says I'm using 165.62gb of the Photos in my storage alone on this 12 pro max, versus 31.64gb on my 8+.
Is there a workaround for this? Wondering if the only option I have, is to reset my new phone, and use the icloud backup option (even though my icloud is maxed out storage-wise) and just airdrop the rest of the new stuff over? Would take longer obviously.
My iCloud hasn't done a phone backup since October 11th, when the 200gb plan maxed out. So since then, any new pictures I've taken on my iPhone 8+, have I guess been going directly onto my phone storage.
I thought when I did direct transfer, it would still keep whatever on the iCloud back up, on there since it's already there, and just transfer whatever is on the i8+ (the 31.64gb) to the 12 Max Pro.
