hi, i have downloaded loads of new effects for photo booth and then was looking for some more, and the single qtz files which are placed in the Library/Compositions folder show up as a grey screen (see attachment) in the preview but are fine when you click on them. so does anyone know how i can get the preview of these to show up, or even to paste a picture in the box?!

also, does anyone know where i can download some single qtz files to add to photo booth aswell?

I just downloaded the effects package from apple and everything works great for me. You have an Intel Mac right?

yeh i have the 17" macbook pro. to get the effects go to apple downloads and search for photo booth (or ichat) effects and there is a package of 48 effects. then i downloaded some single ones from random places and they came up grey. i managed to fix it, however, by installing "quartz composer" which is the program in which the effects are developed. after some difficulties, i used a template which explained most things, so i opened the effect, e.g. the ipod person and just created the "source" box which meant the camera came up in the little preview. i then made some of my own by editing some old ones, they are very very cool!

as an example, i have attached the red paint one i made, which you can just drag into the /Library/Compositions folder. worked perfect for me!
