I am trying to create a carrier logo for my iPhone and I need it to have a transparent background. I have never used Photoshop before and have no clue how to do this. Can someone walk me through it?

Or, can someone do it for me? I uploaded the two images I have been using. The one with the black background works fine, but the white background shows up on apps with the fading gray menu bar and it looks out of place.

The image should be 25x18 with the Apple logo to the far left so it's centered when it's on the phone.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Double click the background layer (in the layers palette) in photoshop and make it a regular layer. Then use the magic wand tool, and set the tolerance low, around 5-10 (on the top bar), contiguous off, and select the black. Then hit delete.

Worked like a charm. Much easier than I thought it would be.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!! :)
