Help with Picture in Picture on iMovie '09..

So, I'm trying to add a movie poster into my video in iMovie '09, and it's not working how I wished it would. It either does the zooming, or when I hit "Fit" I get 2 black rectangles on the sides of it. I just want the full picture in my video. Does anyone know how I can get that? Please and thank you. :]
