So I purchased Applecare for my blackbook but with the new update they seem to have fallen to the wayside. What happens if my blackbook gets damaged. Am I SOL now?
Thanks for any help?

What do you mean "they seem to have fallen to the wayside."? If you bought AppleCare for your MacBook, it's still in force for 3 years from the date of purchase, regardless of what models are introduced/discontinued.

I believe they think that their older MacBook won't get any support since it's not sold as new anymore.

They sold them until last week and I suspect they'll be replacing parts for another year before they even consider giving you a new machine.

Honestly. Yeah... ok... so you buy AppleCare... they release new laptops and yours breaks.

-My laptop broke.
Sorry we released new ones nothing we can do!
-But, I have AppleCare!
Too bad. Buy one of our new products. Whenever we release a new product we stop supporting the old ones even though you paid for extended warranty coverage.

Exactly. The black MB is covered by Applecare for three years, irrespective of whatever models of MB Apple choose to release in that time.
Cheers
