I have a CD MB and I need to record. I need to record out of my churches mixer. I use the 2 1/4 inch stereo monitor outputs to a standard 1/8 inch cable. I need to know what of my 2 orts i should use. I have Garageband, Live, and Reason. I want to know what is easies with this setup.

I think garageband is easiest. Plug it in, set the correct input, test the levels and hit record.

You can plug the 1/8" cable into your Mac's audio-in jack (not the headphone jack). As noted above, GarageBand will be the easiest to set up. Be aware that there's a limit on recording time (999 measures?). Just make sure you reduce the tempo setting to the absolute minimum, and set the time signature to 7/4. That way, you'll get the longest recording time possible.

You should be aware that the quality of this kind
of recording using the 1/8" input is not going to
be stellar. The A/D converters on any computer are
pretty generic sounding at best. If it is acceptable to
those interested then your fine. If you would like to
step up the quality you will need an audio interface.
