Help with recording video with Vocal effects ?

Hi all
My first post so please be kind. Can anyone please advise on how I can use garageband vocal effects while videoing myself on the screen. Eg: what software to use and setup.
I have my required vocals with effects set up on garageband using a usb mic and I can hear the vocal and effects through my headphones. When i record a movie through QT it records my video fine but the vocals are dry and do not have any reverb or effects :-(

Is there any way at all to record a video where the garageband effects get recorded onto the video.

Good practice here is to record the audio/video as faithfully as possible, and add effects after the fact. You can use QT to export the audio, open up GB, and add any effect you want. In iMovie you can separate the original audio from the video, and drag the edited video in to replace it. Alternately, reduce the volume on the original audio to zero, and drag in the edited audio.
